20 Life Lessons from 20 years of life
I turned 20 today, so here are 20 life lessons I’ve learned through experiencing 20 years on this planet:
1. Let go of things out of your control. Including other people’s opinions of you, the past, the future, and running injuries. Those thoughts are a waste of time. 2. Rejection only means that the person who rejected you is simply blind because they did not see your awesomeness. 3. Comparison is meaningless because everyone is cool in their unique way. 4. Don’t be shy. That’s not how you get what you want. 5. Jealousy is a waste of time. You already have everything you need. 6. Video games are not a waste of time. 7. People are worried about themselves. It’s not necessary to try so hard to please everyone. 8. You don’t need everyone to like you. Nothing actually happens. 9. Failure is cool. It teaches and motivates you. 10. You never lose unless you stop trying. 11. Live in the present. Don’t waste time dwelling on the past or looking forward to the future since you can’t control it. 12. Don’t let anyone pressure you into doing something. No one will remember/care as time goes on. 13. Be confident. Fake it until you make it. That’s how you get many things. 14. YOLO 15. No one actually has all their shift together. 16. Saying no is not mean. You have to take care of yourself first so you can take care of others. 17. In order to influence someone to change, you have to be the example. 18. Running is funning. 19. You can’t control others. Don’t let them control you.
19.5. If you care about what other think of you, you will always be their slave.
20. The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. 🔥
