Glad to see we’re uniting. Also sorry Orthodoxes I forgot to put you in there :(

Friendly reminder that right after “wives, submit to your husbands” we get “Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her” and a little later “So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself” (Ephesians 5:22-33)

What does it mean to give yourself up for your wife? Is it just taking a bullet for her? Or does it also mean laying down your own selfish desires for her benefit, and putting her needs and happiness above your own?

It’s almost like that’s what the passage is about - both husband and wife putting each other above themselves. When that happens, you get a very happy and loving marriage.

If anyone’s been following the try guys cheating drama where Ned’s public apology included the saying “I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship.”

    dv-dumpster

The reason he phrased it that way was so the person he cheated with can’t sue the company for ‘sexual harassment’ or whatever because technically he was her boss.  Not defending him (or her for that matter), just that’s why he worded it so weirdly

Right, but the joke here is the reference to the Star Trek: Voyager episode where Captain Janeway and Tom Paris went really fast in a shuttle, turned into giant salamanders, had salamander babies, then got turned back into humans and had the awkward “did I just make salamander babies with my commander/subordinate?” moment in sick bay. The quote tweet with the emoji is from the actress who played Janeway.

This pile of steaming globalist shit Trudeau, he is using the CCP as a way to implement his complete iron fisted tyrannical rule.  This will be the launching pad, for his total subjugation of the Canadian people. 🖕🏼😡

    WTF?!?

My Canadian brothers it’s time to standup and fight.

Man the time was ages ago, but no one in Canada or the US has moved an inch. I think the fear has taken hold.

For a little more info on these “police” stations:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdVIxN8Lkng

China doesn't just police inside its borders. China has set up "overseas Chinese police service stations" all around the world to make sure its law enforcement knows reaches every corner of the globe. In this episode of China Uncensored, we look at a report on these stations by the NGO Safeguard Defenders, what the CCP's 110 Overseas police program is all about, and what it's true purpose is.

    fucking uuuhhhhhh

    I’ve come to a realization.

You know the obnoxious rise in people playing music/videos on their phone with no headphones in public spaces?

I’m honestly thinking it’s connected to the loss of headphone jack in iPhones.

In the days of the headphone jack, you could get a pair of usable headphones for a dollar. Airlines gave them away for free - they weren’t great, but they were usable.

You could have a good pair and then five junky pairs stashed in various coat pockets, bags, backpacks, your car, etc.

If you still didn’t have a pair, someone could lend you a pair and not think twice.

Nobody had an excuse to not be able to use headphones in public.

Now, I do think COVID lockdowns/restrictions and people forgetting how to interact in public played a role, but maybe if we brought back the headphone jack we could start to restore a bit of public decorum.

    This is theft.

But weirdly I can’t find a single news article that lists the date this raid happened. Some give relative timelines, such as 18 months between the raid and documents being unsealed.

Does anyone have the actual date this happened? Seems like a basic detail to include in a news article…

Memes are a form of comedy. And brevity is the soul of wit.

Then again, we should be used to lefties spouting rhetoric in place of comedy by now.

    matt-the-radar-techncian

The whole point of a meme is to be funny and easily digestible. If you wanna make a long text post then make a long text post (well I guess you can’t do that if you’re on Twitter, but that’s your fault for being on Twitter)

    tgmember

I don't even remember seeing any left-wing memes with that much text (other than ther one above); if so, the only problem I would've had is it using so many words to not really say anything constructive.

    prolifeproliberty

Ok but if you don’t read the leftist memes, you miss out on phrases like “crypto-fascist Stonetoss memes”

Y’all I can’t recommend EHD.org enough for all your prenatal biology/fetal development information needs.

All the sources are well-cited (and all are textbooks or academic journals) and it goes into incredible detail about each stage of development.

The link above takes you straight to the week one overview, which includes this right off the bat:

“Biologically speaking, fertilization (or conception) is the beginning of human development.”

And then proceeds to cite 5 different sources for that one statement.

The prenatal timeline is also awesome:

You can select specific systems and switch between beginner, intermediate, and advanced based on how in-depth you want to get.

The timeline is ideal for finding a particular developmental milestone when you can’t remember what week it is - or discovering ones you didn’t know!

Important note: because this site focuses on embryonic and fetal development, it measures in weeks from fertilization rather than weeks from the mother’s last menstrual period (which is how pregnancy is usually measured).

This means you need to add 2 weeks to any milestone on EHD to get the week of pregnancy where that milestone occurs.

For example, we know that heartbeats can be detected as early as 3weeks from fertilization. That’s 5 weeks of pregnancy for the mother, who is measuring from LMP.

"How do you know it will be a soulless remake based just on the teaser? It's not even out yet, it could be more than that, you don't know yet."

It's called pattern recognition. Disney haven't put out a single live-action remake so far that has even come close to matching the quality of the original movie. They range from passable to decent, at best, and unwatchable at worst.

And the teaser showing shot for shot recreations of scenes from the original, just with worse cinematography and a dull, dreary colour palette, demonstrates very clearly that this will be no different.

Guys, I am begging you, reblog this version of the post and not the incomplete version

    irishironclad

Really the idea that you’re obligated to watch what is very obviously going to be shit media to “give it a chance” is consoomer nonsense. I will disregard and hate shows I have never seen based on assumptions I made based on arbitrary perceptions and no one can stop me.
