Printing the label.
To print the label, I used Self Adhesive printing film in an inkjet printer. I made many attempts to print white onto transparent film but realised you can't and had to alter the design slightly.
This is the final logo design for the brand of the health drink. It conveys a strong, bold, masculine, clean aesthetic with connotations of health and strength.
After much research and development, I decided on the final label. I decided not to use icons and just stick to text because it was hard to avoid the ambiguity and consistency of icons. Also, words are used on medical packaging, it seems for legitimate.
Left to dry for a couple of hours, the glued to the resin.
Once dried after 1 hour, I used a matt black spray on the ABS plastic.
Using 2 thin layers on the primed ABS plastic from over 8 inches away.
Using the matt Primer for a single thin coating at 6 inches away.
Before the gluing, I used a matt primer spray for the ABS plastic.
Loctite super glue used to connect resin and ABS plastic.
I'd ordered the top section to be made with ABS plastic from a 3-d printer as the CNC was not printing the helix accurately enough. It needed to be sanded using fine paper before sprayed black.
Range of colour pigmented resin sued to resemble liquid flavours. The bottom middle one was the final mould due to its correct tone and accurate shape.
