“Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”💕👍

    ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

"Nobody escapes being wounded. We all are wounded people, whether physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. The main question is not "How can we hide our wounds?" so we don't have to be embarrassed, but "How can we put our woundedness in the service of others?" When our wounds cease to be a source of shame, and become a source of healing, we have become wounded healers. Jesus is God's wounded healer: through his wounds we are healed. Jesus' suffering and death brought joy and life. His humiliation brought glory; his rejection brought a community of love. As followers of Jesus we can also allow our wounds to bring healing to others." (Henri Nouwen)

    Thanksgiving Proclamation, 3 October 1789

By the President of the United States of America. a Proclamation.

Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me to “recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:”

Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the signal and manifold mercies and the favorable interpositions of His providence in the course and conclusion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty which we have since enjoyed; for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enable to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national one now lately instituted for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and, in general, for all the great and various favors which He has been pleased to confer upon us.

And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions; to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shown kindness to us), and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as He alone knows to be best.

Given under my hand, at the city of New York, the 3d day of October, A.D. 1789.

Of the multitude of choices that everyone has to make... The heart always wins out and produces fruit after its own kind. Judge a tree by its fruit. Grace is the knowledge that one can change their heart and thus produce different fruit.

reading about a kink: wow id never do that

    a few months later: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    girlsfrommars

Woah it’s almost like kinks aren’t innate and that they are part of learnt sexual behaviour pushed by the porn industry and that younger and younger women are groomed into performing more degrading and harmful sex acts as pornographers come up with more and more debasing ideas

The ‘kink’ isn’t the problem... The ‘grooming’ is.

Within marriage all is permissible. Does the relationship serve sex or does sex serve the relationship?

    1: What inspires you?

Beauty... Different than prettiness, being pretty is just physical, it often becomes jaded and fades with youth. Beauty is from an innner core of softness and continually grows more potent. Think of Abraham’s Sarah, She was very beautiful at 100.

13: What are your favorite lyrics currently?

Whoever told ya you can never be free Whoever told ya you can't seek out that dream Whoever told ya you can never be free Whoever told you that is your enemy you see... My life is mine, my right is mine Cause it's my life, you see, not your life My life is mine, my right is mine Sometimes you have to lose your mind... No Hope = No Fear I won't wait for the next life The time is now, the time is right Follow my heart, I'll get through If you're not now, you never were So lose yourself to find yourself Don't need to act like nobody else Sometimes it feels as if the road is blocked I'll find a way, I'll move those rocks Freedom!

38: If you could move, would you? Where would you move to?

South Dakota is looking awfully good right now. ;)  I don’t want to bother anyone and I do want to be bothered by anyone. I want a place where I have the freedom to live with my household and those that would choose to live with me. The world intrudes everywhere... Really, I long to be in a place that feels like ‘home’, I’ve lost that feeling a long time ago.
